IGNITING CORRUPTION TO ADD CONFLAGRATION

BY IGNORANT AND UNSCRUPULOUS ELEMENTS
MAKING MOCKERY OF A SYSTEM
READ DEMOCRACY
INTENDED SOLELY TO MALIGN THE DIGNITY OF PEOPLE AND DEMOCRATIC ETHOS OF THE NATION
How have Kisan Baburao Hazare then and Arvind Kejriwal etc. now or their diehard zealots hankering to make news rather than participating in a collective gesture with the government and people, escaped being detained, restrained, arrested or prosecuted?
This script may be summed up as a brief but stern warning to Arvind Kejriwal in view of his tirade against government and people of dignity, as also his unbecoming, corrupt or reckless allegations and accusations against people in high places.
There is no dearth of shameless, restless and extra-vociferous people like Arvind Kejriwal within the vast nation who would least have the sublime patience to wait for solutions to public menace and perilous people. Arvind Kejriwal is one such unruly element who can never think in terms of working out an acceptable solution to the perils of present day society.
Kejriwal is creating a fear psycosis within the wealthy and influential people and making room for people to hide their wealth, assets etc. But more than these aspersions lowering the dignity of people who are honourable citizens of a free and democratic nation, he is undermining the system put in place through many years of struggle by highly educated and cultured people of eminence.
This person ought to be whipped out of the national capital Delhi to cool his heels in his own native village. The national capital has no place for hoodlums whose only lookout is to tarnish image, focus and reputation of righteous and unsuspecting individuals who are descendants of a royal family of repute (read Gandhi family) and an independent India catering to over 1.3 billion people. It is only due to the enormous contributions and sacrifices made by the forefathers of these families that India today stands tall in every aspect of world renown. The works and architecture of these very families and the star-studded Indian polity already stand recorded within the archives of yesteryears. Therefore, on no account should any name or personality of such or similar rank be dragged in to controversies or made an object of mirth and laughter for unruly elements within or outside the nation. Moreover, such ruffians who deem it their right to spill venom against people of high category ought to know that they are today what they are on account of selfless sweat and precious blood shed by people of extreme caliber and reputation. All glory and honour that India today stands to claim are outcome of the unstinted labour and tireless efforts put in by individuals whose names these blinking and bullish elements are opting to demean as of today.
The present day activities indulged in by Arvind Kejriwal and his followers amount to burning the national identity, the theme, the soul and in a stunning context burning the national flag by allowing his filthy brain to slam reckless allegations and accusations on people who had earlier as well as today hold the reins of a nation and its realm. His targeting with such reckless allegations straight out of his narrow-minded brain is sending wrong signal among unsuspecting public where these allegations are working to arouse their petty grouse against wealthy, influential and people with dignity. Kejriwal needs to know that people in high places or in government are indeed royal citizens of a free India whose forefathers rendered endless sacrifices for the liberation and upkeep of the country and whose families did shed their sweat and blood without caring for the outcome of the enormous sacrifices or for their own safety and happiness. As such, for no reason whatsoever should these glittering personalities of yesteryears should be made a victim of public focus without such allegations having been verified or established. He ought to know that any prosperity or fortune having been left behind by renowned stalwarts of yesteryears for their younger descendants to lead a peaceful life ought not be made a target by mean minded people like Kejriwal to be blown apart to smithereens the manner and way he desires.
Such accusations or reckless allegations may even amount to burning the national flag or deliberately making the family members of a royal echelon being dragged in to controversies which mar the actual image of people and nation. His blunt mind ought to also know that the entire nation and the world are viewing such hasty allegations coming straight out of his mean intellect allowing the public to go on rampage in respect of a powerful nation or sons of the soil as the case may be. In effect the mad bull is using democracy to belittle people as if they were his property or an object of scorn.
Kejriwal has been charging like mad bull at places where he ought not tread. The masses are a witness to days of prosperity when a Re.1 would have fetched a sack full of wheat or rice. But with change of times the expenses would automatically have climbed up which could not possibly be expected to remain static for all ages. If electricity bills have reached exhorbitant levels, there is as much reason that somewhere these very public failed to bridle their own mouths and got the government err while the public made hay with their own highhandedness. It ought not also be ignored the fact that comfort and luxury limits by people have been ignored and Kejriwal has been advocating exhorbitant comfort by people at government’s cost.
When CM Shiela Dixit off and on exhorted people of Delhi to preserve water and not waste it for washing car or gardening purposes, she knew what she was uttering. If the world one day finds drinking water scarce, no amount of slamming people or accusing authorities would fetch people the life giving water. If the nation or the world go famished or parched, the responsibility for such a situation would be squarely on the shoulders of people who act reckless like Kejriwal. In the event of the country going short of water no amount of beating the breasts would provide an alternative and the responsibility for such a situation would lie on the like of Kejriwal himself.
During the earlier period after independence, democratic right came to be utilized unscrupulously, so much so factory workers and government employees were in the habit of laying down work to demand high wages and related facilities. This trend went on for many decades. Today the average quantum of work especially after the introduction of computer in to government offices is meager but the salaries drawn by officers and staff are exhorbitant. All this was the result of unscrupulous utilization of right to demand under the democratic set up. Today if corruption has become rampant everywhere, it is as a result of people like Arvind Kejriwal who go on manipulating or demeaning the system put in place by an elected government. If the government employees are earning hefty amounts or a fortune so to speak besides other perks, it is the government that would have to pay salaries and benefits to government employees. This requires money and it was to drive down this point that the PM had rightly said “money does not grow on trees”. And he was indeed right. If people waste their brain recklessly like this hoodlum here is doing presently then there is no wonder why discipline could ever shine over the nation. Democracy gave voice to public to demand and the masses did what pleased them. Today the government is to pay the sky-rocketting wages for the government employees, which if not disbursed in time would find the same government employees agitating on the streets, breaking government properties or committing arson, loot etc. In effect, the government has become a mere tool in the hands of reckless and rash elements. And in this category falls the present hoodlum showering in mayhem and confusion while the mad public goes on the rampage. Is there a logic slamming people merely because they possess wealth earned through years of sweat? Does this hoodlum realize that people who may have made money at least did not run around with AK47 looting or shooting down people to fill their bank accounts? Kejriwal needs to ponder.
The present attitude by Kejriwal may be termed as animal wisdom though essentially it amounts pig-sty culture to indulge in indefinite fast for a cause which in effect amounts to free power and electricity.
The least that the authorities can do with people like Arvind Kejriwal is to whip him out of the capital which has become a citadel for him to let go his whims time and again.
Kejriwal is creating a fear psycosis within the wealthy and influential people and making room for them people to hide their wealth, assets etc.
Democracy is being used. Ever since the united alliance (UPA) took charge of government at the centre, the communal opposition has been ruling the country or to put it better, governing the government with an iron fist. The rigid, stubbon and unyielding stance by opposition on various issues is draining the country of crores by way of wasted days and years, all that to project their frustration in transparency. Opposition is ruling their transparent whims of frustration. Rather than adhering to a democracy put in place after years of barbarity and bloodshed which had the very right to life defied by monarchs and mobs, are today asserting their frustration for not having been served their share of power. It has in effect turned out to be a transparent opposition ruling the roost.
Added to the tantrums of the opposition are the gimmicks of frustrated people with no element, strategy or attitude to stand with the nation, the government and the 1.3 bilion. With the exit of a sulking Hazare came Arvind Kejriwal, adding to the menace of opposition and communal fanatics.
Arvind Kejriwal added disruption to a vigorous fight taken up against corruption by the UPA government, assumed as a top priority agenda. However, Arvind Kejriwal failed to allow the government to do its duty to a logical conclusion. As a matter of fact, he has all along been throwing his tantrums on streets of Delhi by maligning people of dignity and utmost respect. All the fodder for the blurts he made on corruption were achievements by treacherous elements who stole through the nation’s ethos and transparency to pull out valuable government records throwing to the wind the need to maintain the norm of truth and secrecy within the four walls of the nation. In doing so, he even shattered the integrity, dignity and respect of 1.3 bn. people and pulled down the people and nation to a level of street urchins. If Arvind Kejriwal can with a corrupt mindset utilize the services of treacherous blackmailers to clandestinely gain access to scores of documents with intent to malign the government and people of dignity, then how does he project himself as uncorrupt. Does this act of his not show him as a more corrupt element not fit to be trusted by the 1.3 billion populace?
Indian History describes India as the epitome of the world. This exaggeration cannot be condemned but the fact remains that the nation is struggling to maintain its unity in diversity, by overlooking the number of communal riots, wife burning (of late there has been a climb down in dowry related cases), extremist acts (thanks to Islam for dumping Hindu extremism to the backyard), besides other maneuvering by criminal elements. Although the UPA government has successfully kept the criminals leashed under draconian laws, still criminal conspiracies and spate of murders have not abated. And to top it all, India is history, second to none when it comes to corruption!
Where does India stand in the category of least feared nation? Had it not been for a well balanced government at the centre, we would have had our nose stuck on to the media with news of large-scale looting, arson, raping of nuns, killing of innocent priests, desecrating of churches (as happened in Orissa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhyapradesh and a number of other states) and other such atrocious deeds for which we have a long list of Hindu organizations like RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena, Ram Sena and many others.
Hindus have always been considered a tolerant lot, however, this tolerant lot never managed to abide by their show of tolerance when challenged by Muslims who, by nature, are hot-tempered and the end result is the enmity between these two groups, which have not come to a simmering point since last many years (thanks to UPA government at the centre), the country today needs to be ranked somewhere near the 1st as long as the present balanced government enjoys the majority of its wayward citizens.
The long and short of it all is that the Muslim thrust against Hindus due mostly to the attitude of Hindus who wield a sectarian influence over large chunks of their guiding stars under name and style of RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena, Ram Sene etc. has had a sickening effect on the nation. The inhabitants of the so called ‘Hindustan ’ have armies under them recruited to fight ordinary people in the name of defending their religion? Some of these organizations are always involved in the communal flare up. And it was these organizations which razed a whole Masjid at Ayodhya, hacked to death thousands of innocent Muslims in Gujarat , spread their tentacles to many other states creating mayhem for innocent people.
And one last say – ever since Renuka Chowdhary, Former Minister of State termed the extremist acts by communal organizations as ‘talibanization of people’, the communal elements have been kept subdued by the centre and therefore, India under the UPA government does qualify to be elevated to a slot near 1st in the category of least feared nation.
But there are aged, ignorant or belligerent elements with as many sycophants sitting pretty on the wings of Hazare, Kejriwal and their co-team, who cannot sit back to see peace, harmony, development and achievements as are being ensured by a functioning government because Hazare and his ilk need a halo! So here we are!
Hazare and Kejriwal are overstretching limits, bent on disturbing the peace of the nation which may warrant a rethink on their rights as embodied in the constitution. Obviously, they are beckoning a curb of opportunities accorded to them under the very constitution that they are attempting to defile. Defiling the constitution warrants defying their overtures with permanent strictures or limiting mobility status limited to their respective villageS or thereabouts.
Hazare and Kejriwal are presently up to their tricks again. Whereas the departed soul of Hazare has decided to tour the states, his duplicate counterpart is languishing for food and water at the centre of Indian capital lying in wait for the prey with a prayer namely the pyre to carry him to his determined destination namely the ghat. Incidentally, with Summer months already in the offing and being left with hardly the clout within as would have desired to press for his demands or to flout government position and laws, Kejriwal is more than a menace to his own followers, because he is hardly left with any following except the very communals who have never wanted the nation to make headway. Incidentally, except for defaming the government the communals are least bothered about the man on the mattress languishing without food to a solitary end. How about such a likely end making a temporary respite from his hollowness? Assuming his tantrums go awry, what would be the likely outcome which India ’s 1.3 billion must make out of the entire episode?
Even as the pall bearers carry the numb corpse of Arvind Kejriwal to cremation ground for disposal or consigning to flames his last remains, he would be reminiscing with a naïve chuckle under the nose, how he fooled the nation by feigning sympathy on the issue of corruption in high places only to achieve world renown! Among his fake victims would also be the RSS hoodlums that threw their weight behind him only to launch a frontal attack on the Government and give the crusade a communal link. But will his gamble worth it?
Even in earlier instances, the government did not buckle under pressure nor was it outwitted by an unruly element attempting to gain a profile as a leader to march to Rashtrapati Bhawan. Inconsistency has always been the trade mark of people like Hazare and now Arvind Kejriwal which they are unable to divine. However, the nation has a government of unique character and determination. In effect, during August 2012 the UPA government scored a decisive and fascinating victory by allowing the stubbornness of Hazare to pine away for 13 wholesome days from 16th to 28th of August, 2011. The beleaguered corpse thus lay at the mercy of a determined government, while hordes of people watched the sequence of drama with curiosity, thrill and eagerness to witness a feeble skeleton of a man lying in state wearing his mindless body out for no cause whatsoever, quite adamant to bid adieu to this world. Today it is the turn of Arvind Kejriwal to pine away to his heart’s content.
UPA (United Progressive Alliance ) government holds a vibrant majority even with the assistance of a fractured coalition and the government is in total control of the ill-conceived motives of a fading opposition working in tandem with the disruptive forces behind the veil of a thrust against corruption. Incidentally, the random few unscrupulous and corrupt forces under Hazare and Kejriwal have been taken to task by a determined government. Moreover, the Indian majority stands firmly behind the government and every one strongly denounces Kisan Baburao Hazare or Kejriwal’s tantrums! In the backdrop of such unhealthy connivance by Hazare and Kejriwal, there is need to see the entire issue in the right perspective to find out who stands where. To go threadbare, we need to analyze things from the start.
We all live in an era of expediency. The world is thronged by bigots who only need a rattling sound by rumor mongers to spring a blockade on government, authority or establishment. The pomp and extravaganza of 2011-Common Wealth Games hosted in Delhi recently was one such occasion. The authorities overseeing preparations for the event had to be on their toes due to constant bickering and intermittent complaints by over enthusiasts, mostly from among opposition, that kept pointing fingers at instances of water logging caused due to incessant rain and inclement weather. Even media did not lag behind in trumpeting the hazards faced by general public. Whispers too went around about the likelihood of the event being cancelled. Fortunately a positive approach adopted by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit and Central Government worked the miracle. All anxieties and apprehensions by people and the media were belied and the venues thrown open for the event within the stipulated period.
While the pendulum swung back and forth between hope and despair for the hosts, the opposition parties were eager to exploit the suspense leading up to the event. Finally, the needle within the haystack was traced and what emerged as a delight to the opposition turned out to be a nightmare for the government. The needle of suspicion pointed to a grueling corruption that practically deflated the moving wheels of a national event.
Before the curtain could be pulled up and the event commenced, loud whispers went around alleging huge amounts of public fund having been stashed away through spurious channels in to private accounts abroad. With a view to arresting any likely damage to the national image and to avoid embarrassment being caused to hordes of athletes participating in the event or sending wrong signal to athletes and dignitaries visiting from foreign countries, the Central and Delhi Governments swung in to action. A national catastrophe was nipped in the bud and a fiasco of colossal magnitude averted. The grandiose event, the only one of its kind for a nation that deemed the event as a rare opportunity to upgrade its infrastructure and the overall outlook of the capital, was conducted with much fanfare. Thanks to the UPA (United Progressive Alliance ) government and other officials who intervened at the nick of time. The event marked a grand success. And the national anthem on the evening of 14th October, 2010 pulled the curtain down without allowing rumors to mar the situation. But the damage was done and the cat was out. Corruption of a colossal magnitude!
The question that now posed is “who will bell the cat?” Extremism calls for daredevilry to act and escape or self-destruct oneself. But it is not so with corruption.
Corruption is a despicable art, committed by people and syndicate with relatively high skill and ability to ride rough shod over government, law and authority. Corruption is no law and order problem, no failure of government machinery, no intelligence failure and does not attract a situation for imposition of emergency. Indulgence in corruption demands high density nerves, temerity of extreme tolerance and a spurt of intelligence that can withstand pressure from people and government alike.
Corruption is a high handed atrocity that adds new dimension to hitherto known list of social menaces. The people and government today are waking up to a new dawn, a new era emerging out of the shadows of crime and influence, a passion for wealth and comfort, a systematic descent to depths of ease and carefree-ness whereby large amounts of public wealth are tunneled off to foreign banks, the route and source of which are intrinsically shaded with dubious people and underworld dons.
For stamping out this social menace, there is need to ensure close coordination between people and government, frame new laws that can motivate people to scrupulously follow laws and procedures without straying off the path of truth and righteousness. Unfortunately, the world and people have fallen off the cliff of hard work and dedication in to depths of mediocrity and petulance because corruption was no issue at the time of framing of the constitution.
However, by no means can corruption be curbed by undertaking an ‘indefinite fast’ and paralyzing the government machinery, authority and establishment as did the 72 year old Baburao Kisan Hazare on 5th April, 2011 and later from 16th to 28th August, 2011. Now it has become the turn of Arvind Kejriwal to queue up for Gandhiji’s fame. Kejriwal is yearning for a repetition of the drama to make headlines during 2013. He needs to realize that corruption is a world phenomenon and should he go ahead with his threat to pressurize the government, the least the Government of India can do is to depute a functionary to place a wreath on his body as a mark of respect for a deliberately departed soul of Arvind Kejriwal, who while instigating the public against power bills or hoodwinking people as a strategist competent to deal with or execute his nefarious designs can right be considered as a worthless pursuer of intelligent swindlers of a corrupt India! R.I.P.
Hazare first and now Arvind Kejriwal have been deafeningly ignorant to pleas by the government that the elected representatives are fully seized of the plague called corruption. Hazare as a matter of fact never wanted that intelligent and capable men in the government should piece out a solution acceptable to all sections of the society. Such a compromise would deprive him of the halo he is after. He therefore, made no bones of the integrity and prestige of the nation but rushed to Delhi on the advice of his coterie for a crusade which alone could catapult him to the right slot as ‘mahatma’. That is the version of a last ditch effort by the 74 year old veteran – to attain cheap fame and reputation.
In the same manner, Arvind Kejriwal has been instigating public to desist from making payment of bills. This is as much as allowing public to take to extremist methods to have their way as they will.
Kejriwal’s passing away, if he ever succeeded in his designed design, would be deeply felt by all those who never wanted a democratic solution or peaceful transition to a government sponsored bill against corruption and likewise to enable government in powr to decide what is right and good for the people and nation. But his diffiance to establish a rule of the jungle and exhorting the mob to carry out his bid to the detriment of a nation and government in power enmase is only inviting trouble for himself and for the future of the nation. And the only way for him to have his way is to stand by his communal politics.
My take is, is India on a war path to confrontation with a government it elected or with a Constitution it chose to adopt on 26.01.1950? Is Kisan Baburao Hazare then and now Arvind Kejriwal inciting a civil war between government-versus-communal forces vis-à-vis civilians? Hazare’s and Kejriwal’s anti-Congress stand is purely a plot to get at the dream halo of ‘mahatma’ and worthless fame for which such unruly elements hardly stand a chance!
Hazare and Kejriwal including their group of psycophants have, in the last few months been undermining the ethos of a vibrant democracy that had hitherto got its tricolor flutter atop the nation making its 1.3 billion mass base proud. After Hazare got his sulking mentality wield power over the ignorant public, in an attempt to blackmail a democratically elected government with intermittent bumps and moans, the government has had to leave the national priorities to pacify a psychologically unfit citizen and a rigid veteran of yesteryears groaning to attain his halo. Similarly also Arvind Kejriwal too is following in the footsteps of his mentor but with a defiance which establishes that the two have no ideals set for the good of the nation or the benefit of the mob they are having in their wake.
Whatever be the position as of now, these elements have become unsocial and unruly, as such these people should not be allowed to have their ways to twist the constitution or stiffle the nation’s march to progress by their posture of rigidity with his fast unto death. With intermittent bumps and moans by Hazare or Kejriwal, one may piously hope these elements get their due even if it through his indefinite fast so that the nation may heave a sign of relief from such worthless holding the nation to ransom and government their right to govern without having to earn embarrassing moments for no fault of theirs.
A democratically elected government, capable of managing the affairs of the nation, is well entrenched on the saddle which alone has the ability to safeguard the tomorrow of the nation. Individuals like Kejriwal or Hazare are squandering away the avenues over which the nation might make giant strides to attain a position of super power and an established economy.
Blackmail, hijack, ransom call, treachery, kidnap, murder are equally punishable offences as suicide and abetment to suicide. Then how does blackmail of ‘fast unto death’ or ‘indefintie fast’ deserve to be condoned as a democratic agitation which may ominously derail the initiatives of the nation put in by the government? The cause projected by Hazare and Kejriwal are more of an excuse to eyewash or hoodwink the public but the core aspect of agitation is to achieve their respective halo as ‘leaders’ or ‘mahatma’ while the communal fanatics who follow him have but one aim in view – to oust the government that never allowed a free hand to their fanaticism.
Arvind Kejriwal is a tune without rhythm, a voice devoid of sound, a spirit without truth, a mind without conscience, a wind that blows nobody any good and a man who cannot officiate as a mediator between masses and the government. The only good trait in him is a craving for fame to achieve which he has already come up with a party which does not contain even a iota of a meaning to a nation which is already being ruled by a government and party with age long reputation. All that Kejriwal has is a driving force called ‘ego’, which is hooded behind his vague articulation to rid corruption off the national periphery, to flout government machinery on power bills etc which call of his is orchestrated by few of his communal elements whose tantrums cannot work to improve the image of a worthless party which has no base, what to speak of recognition. To go straight to the point, he is yet to feel the pulse of the nation and the nation his worth.
It so appears that India is starving for people with some human sense to realize that there cannot be parallel government nor can progress be made by coercion and threats. Blackmail through indefinite fast is only inviting the wrath of public, the nation and government including the law enforcing people in a nation which definitely has seen better achievements on all fronts.
Kejriwal ought to realize the futility of trying to weave a one-man dictatorship to gain vain fame and popularity. He also needs to come to terms with 21st century that cannot be assessed in terms of prehistoric days when one man’s dictum would have been taken at face value. The world has fast progressed at a pace that cannot be kept track of and only reason and intelligence can work a way out of the present imbroglio of avarice and corruption. The plague of corruption that the nation is presently seized of cannot be done away with by merely creating fuss under the banner of an illiterate and uneducated person of regional fame. The nation needs people with intelligence, tact, diplomacy and determination to fight battle out of a dilemma it is in.
For stamping out this social menace, there is need to ensure close coordination between people and government, frame new laws which alone can motivate people to scrupulously follow them without straying off the path of truth and righteousness.
However, if people like Kejriwal deems it fit to frustrate all efforts put in by the government to get at the dragon of corruption, then time alone would tell which way Kejriwal and his party might go, for how long and to what effect the government would manage his tantrums to its own advantage by getting the 1.3 billion aware of the tantrums resorted to by such unruly and unscrupulous blackmailers.
All solutions to public menace can only be managed through a government with appropriate intention and determination. The tactics adopted by these crusaders can at best discredit the very remedies put forward by the government. But such tacts lack long-term effect for which the government must infuse values within the society, people and the nation. Values based on Ethics, Honesty and Conviction!
The present attitude by Kejriwal may be termed as animal wisdom though essentially it amounts pig-sty culture to indulge in indefinite fast for a cause which in effect amounts to free power and electricity.
